Community First Office Hours

Our Community First Office Hours are casual, one-on-one conversations as a part of Friends of the Rail Park’s Community First Plan, an effort to understand how the Rail Park can grow in ways that reflect its values and responsibilities to the neighborhoods it runs through. These conversations help guide how we approach growth with care and accountability while exploring how we can amplify work being done within our communities and what connections we can make to further their causes.

Each conversation takes place with a Friends of the Rail Park staff member at a local coffee shop and explores how the Rail Park can support economic opportunity, housing, culture, and the environment, centering the experiences and priorities of people who live and work nearby.

A project of this scale should not grow or change without the voices of the communities it runs through and alongside. The Community First Plan places those voices at the center to help ensure the Rail Park benefits neighborhoods in meaningful, tangible ways.
