Butterfly Release

Free

Come learn about butterflies with us!

2026 National Pollinator Week takes place from June 22 to June 28. This global celebration highlights the critical role of bees, butterflies, bats, and other pollinators.

While we celebrate our pollinators every day, on June 22nd Wild Things Nature Preserve will guide participants through the fascinating life cycle of butterflies, their role in local ecosystems, and the importance of creating habitats that support pollinators in urban spaces.

The evening will culminate in the release of three dozen butterflies into the garden, offering guests a unique opportunity to experience these pollinators up close as they take flight among the flowers.

Participants will also learn about butterfly-friendly plants, migration and metamorphosis, and simple ways to support pollinators at home and in their communities.
