Sight/Sound: Revealing the Rail Park

This fall, there’s something incredible happening at the Rail Park.

Together with Mural Arts Philadelphia, and American Composers Forum, Philadelphia Chapter, we’re launching a new collaborative arts project: Site/Sound: Revealing the Rail Park.

This unprecedented arts event will bring public events, live performances, and innovative art installations to all three sections of the Rail Park site for three weeks, with marquee visual and sound events happening on three Saturdays in October: October 5, 12, and 19.

The kick-off celebration of the festival will occur on October 5, 2019 at 6pm at Baldwin Park, located at 429 N. 19th Street, from 6-8pm.  Please join the community for a fun evening with activities for the whole family as we count down to the first live musical performance in conjunction with the revealing of the Moon Viewing Platform installation along the Rail Park’s Cut (between 17th and 18th Streets).

Curated by Gene Coleman, Executive Director of ACF Philadelphia, the event will feature anchor art installations from three teams of noted Philadelphia-based visual and sound artist teams: Carolyn Healy and John JH Phillips; Erik Ruin and Rosie Langabeer; and Nadia Hironaka, Matthew Suib, and Eugene Lew.
