Our Newest Team Member

This summer, we began the search for our second full-time team member. Now, the search is over, and we’re thrilled to welcome Sian Sheu as our new Community Engagement & Programs Manager on the Friends of the Rail Park team!

Sian brings more than five years of nonprofit experience to her new position. She’s well-versed in community building, urban and economic development, environmental justice, and arts programming. Before joining our team, she worked with New Kensington Community Development Corporation, working to strengthen the neighborhood and advance equity and inclusion.

Sian holds a B.A. in International and Area Studies and Anthropology from Washington University in St. Louis.

In her new role, Sian will be cultivating relationships with community and civic organizations, volunteers, neighbors, and visitors around the Rail Park. And she’ll also be spearheading public programming—helping fill Phase 1 with events and activities that everyone can enjoy.

We are proud to have Sian on the Rail Park team. And if you see her at an event, or at the park, don’t be shy—say hi!
